Thank you for your interest. We are always interested in accepting guest posts/articles. We welcome diverse writers and perspectives from around the world. We seek and only publish guest articles from authors with authoritative backgrounds in the health & wellness fields (e.g. doctors, nutritionists, published authors, etc). If you believe you meet that criteria, please submit a link to your bio, sample articles and the topics you’d be interested in writing about. Please ensure your topic and article is compliant with the guidelines below.
If you are interested in promoting a site, product or other commercial service, please see our commercial relationships page.
Our Guidelines
The topic must be related to:
- plants
- herbs
- gardening
- functional medicine
- natural health solutions
- botany
- organic chemistry – phytochemicals
Anything interesting related to plants and their uses especially related to health and wellness.
Write about what you know and are passionate about. Ideally, you should have a background in biology, botany, herbalism, functional medicine, gardening, chemistry ext. In short, anyone who is interested in plants and wants to share their information or viewpoints can submit their articles to us.
The article must be unique and exclusive to The Herbal Resource. It must not have been published elsewhere online (including your personal blog/website) or slated for distribution on other sites.
Also, when an article is published on this website, it is then owned by The Herbal Resource and you are not permitted to re-publish that content anywhere else, including on your own site, without prior approval from The Herbal Resource.
Also, the topic of the article should not already be covered on The Herbal Resource. You can use the search box located in the header to find out.
It must be very well-written between 1,500 and 2,000 words, the longer, the better.
Source all health claims!
If you mention a statistic, a study or make a factual assertion in your piece, include a link to that source.
When claiming that a specific plant/herb is healthy, you must back it up with reliable information. Use links to peer-reviewed scientific papers, academic journals, and credible news outlets. Put relevant links in brackets. []
If we deem the quality of the article not good enough, we will not publish it.
If possible (not a requirement) have at least one unique picture/graphic – so no stock photos.
We accept one “followed” non-commercial outbound link placed in the article. The destination page must not be on the same subject, and the link must be relevant, add value to our readers and point to a reputable website.
The article must be published under your name; please provide the information you would like to be featured in the author box + a picture (120 words or less) with links to your website, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter pages, in brackets [].
You must also post a link to the article on The Herbal Resource on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc) and your own site/blog (if you have one).
By submitting an article does not mean we will publish it. We will let you know once it is released and approved.
If the article is accepted, it will be shared on our social media networks and 100s of thousands of followers!
By submitting your article to The Herbal Resource, you acknowledge that you accept our terms and any form of editing we find necessary.
If you are interested in promoting a site, product or other commercial service, please see our commercial relationships page.
